We visited the Falls resort last month and covered a 2m x 2m area of ground with vermicompost.
This is the result after 2 days

After 10 days

This is the same area after 30 days!! The seedlings are going to be separated and shared out among the community workers so they can plant them and harvest the vegetables. |

The grade 2's of Bishops Primary School visited us last week. They enjoyed learning about Alfie the earthworm. They divided their left over lunches into "worm" food and other categories of waste. The had a good look at our worm farm and were most interested when Mzu taught them a little bit about gardening and then showed them how the vermicompost and vermitea are used.

While in Zambia, we created a magic garden, for the community workers, by covering a 2mx2m area with Vermicompost. We have no idea what will pop up but we know the community workers will have fun seeing the results. Below is the result after 2 days.

Musowe Davis is a rose gardener at the Falls Resort in Zambia. He is passionate about roses, he has 50 rose bushes at home that he also looks after. Musowe has been using the vermitea from the community based worm farm project for the last 6 months and was very eager to share with us the benefits he has seen. He reports that he will not use anything else on his precious roses.
