FullCycle initiated a pilot vermicomposting project at the Mount Nelson Hotel early in 2006 in collaboration with Wasteman. It is believed to be the first on-site vemicomposting unit of its kind at a hotel - and a five-star hotel at that! You may have seen some articles in the media in August and September 2006. Beachhead Media assisted FullCycle with the media release, and the media exposure that it got exceeded all expectations - it was even published in Scientific American. Some of the local press also ran the story, including the Daily News (below) The pilot project has been a huge success and The Mount Nelson Hotel, Wasteman and FullCycle are busy completing a new structure to house the scaled-up vermicomposting unit. Not only are the worms getting a new structure but their accommodation has also been upgraded to Worm Factory units - 60 in all. ![]() |
